I’ve seen #Superman! @jamesgunn redefines the character for a new generation of fans, restoring all of the nerdiness which goes along with his huge heart. Perfect casting all around. This is the first time a DC film has truly captured the comics I’ve been reading for 30+ years.

#Superman is a triumph for the new DC Universe. It’s a comic book brought to beautiful live-action life, brimming with hope & fulfillment. It actually elicited tears of joy from me. It’s a Superman for everyone. David Corenswet was born for Superman & Clark Kent. Loved it.

Trailers for Superman didn’t really move the needle for me much. I’m pleased to report that I fucking loved it. Full of energy and a big beating heart at the center. I’m suddenly very invested in this new DC era.

If only Superman could have stopped the Bowling Green Massacre.

My longer thoughts on #superman are loading. But for now I’ll just say that it’s an extremely entertaining flick. Plot is a bit thin and I’m not sure if I like the portrayal of some of the female characters, but! There’s a lot to love in spite of it all. Cast is stellar.

HOLY SMOKES!!!! #Superman was AWESOME!! David Corenswet perfectly embodies a hero who just wants to save and protect! He has the childlike wonder of just thinking everyone and everything is worthy of good. Brosnahan and Hoult killed it too!! And LOVED KRYPTO! It FEELS HOPEFUL!

Superman was fun AF. Krypto is exactly my dog. Lois was perfection. Green Lantern out performed his haircut. Lex was delightfully punchable. Mr. Terrific was one of the best parts, and my boy Superman was big and dreamy.

Pixar’s ELIO is not a political film, but it arrived at a politically charged time. For delosangelestimes, I wrote on how a movie about a Latino kid who feels he doesn’t belong could speak to Latino kids currently being made to feel like they don’t belong. Link in first reply.
