The early-bird fee deadline is about to pass! However, if you’re planning to submit a work-in-progress poster, the deadline has been extended for you by 20th May.

Did you know that the Institute of Phonetics, the only scientific department of phonetics in CZE, was founded by Josef Chlumský over 100 years ago? 🔜Also, only 3 days left for the WIP posters deadline!

Fun fact: J. N. Čermák figured out the production of Czech [ɦ] even before the laryngeal mirror was available. Reminder: Today is the last day to submit your WIP posters!

ℹ️ As the COVID situation seems to have improved (*knocking on wood), we have decided to host the conference as a fully on-site event after all. We hope you all will enjoy meeting in person once again! 🤝

We’re delighted to tell you that our final keynote speaker is Francis Nolan from MMLL Cambridge. As 280 characters aren’t nearly enough to sum up his work, we’ll only announce his plenary topic, which is forensic phoneticians’ ears and whether they need them.👂😅We can’t wait!
