Today is the final shift for Firefighter Michael Fulcher as one of #DCsBravest, working on busy Truck 13 that protects the Trinidad neighborhood. A 28 year veteran, he was not about to go quietly into the night, battling a blaze on his last day of work.

Heavy fire knocked downslope companies are working , extensive overhauling being down.

Deputy Chief Andre Stallworth briefs the media. Companies experienced hoarding conditions,while fighting the fire. One person was rescued from the building. There was one fatality.

The command staff did a great job rotating companies working under the hot and humid conditions. Thanks again to A-10 Boston Sparks Assn. who helped to keep the members hydrated and cool while fighting the fire, they are always there for us.
