This morning, Battalion Chief Digue finished his final shift with the DHFD. Since 1999, BC Digue has served the residents of our community while being an integral member of our department and leadership. We wish you the best of luck in your retirement.

It was a busy year for your DHFD firefighters with 8905 calls for service. Slightly more than last year's total, this averages out to just over 24 emergency calls per day! Thank you to our firefighters for all your hard work throughout 2024.

PFF Chadwick and PFF Koska got some good reps in with Lt Chapman to perfect their donning times. It's important for a firefighter, especially as a probationary FF, to be familiar with all their gear and how to efficiently put it on for the fastest and safest response.

We visited Dearborn Heights Firefighters for Week #2 of "Rotary on the Road." President Renata and Club Director Patrick presented BC Phil Hall with a plaque thanking the Department for their support of our golf outing last fall. We enjoyed a delicious lunch and our time at DHFD HQ. MPFFU

Busy day today at City of Dearborn Heights as we welcome newly hired PFF Ahner and PFF Maynard to the DHFD family. We also had the swearing in of newly promoted FFII Kevin Ryan and we were finally able to swear in PFF Chadwick!

Yet another swearing-in this week at City of Dearborn Heights! We welcomed PFF Greg Baile-Jann to the family! Excited to have you as part of the team.

Today, we welcomed Dearborn Heights Police Acting Chief Haidar as our guest speaker. He was accompanied by Director Vanderplow, and Officers Hojeij and Jasman. It's always nice to have Dearborn Heights Firefighters Chief Brogan with us, too. Our thanks to our first responders for keeping us safe.

The Dearborn Heights Firefighters added a little more muscle to the force today with the swearing in of Keegan Calvert, formerly of the Oxford Township Fire Department. We wish him a long, successful career in #DearbornHeights. #firefighters MPFFU International Association of Fire Fighters
