Dr Stephan Woodborne is an Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) scientist. AMS is a technique for measuring rare isotopes and can inform our understanding of the age of archaeological materials.

Yesterday, the outgoing Portfolio Committee on Higher Education, Science and Innovation visited the new South African Isotope Facility (SAIF) at NRF-iThemba LABS. SAIF is one of NRF-iThemba LABS’s flagship projects.
