Buzz for Laird Barron's new book NOT A SPECK OF LIGHT (9/10/24 from Bad Hand Books) is generating a flurry of activity, including the 2024 read-along of his horror fiction, a webcast with Laird about OCCULTATION on 4/20, and a new Patreon account. Deets:

Two literary heroes - Laird Barron and Stephen Graham Jones - now hang out side-by-side in my office/library. Their stories inspire me. Art by Justin McElroy and Evan Cagle, respectively.
Another hero - Kelly Link - is just over my shoulder. Art by R. Kikuo Johnson.
Tracking down all the published stories of another favorite horror author and coming to the realization that I’m pretty much just chasing Ellen Datlow’s editor/anthologist career.
Issue 16 of Stephen Graham Jones’s EARTHDIVERS dropped this week from IDW Publishing, completing the 1776 arc! I’ve been saving these issues to read in one fell swoop. It’s a very provocative comic. The Killing Columbus arc includes horrifying imagery reflecting the 1862 Dakota mass hanging.
.Laird Barron just dropped a reprint of his hardest-to-find story (I shelled out $100 for the antho where it made its 1st & only appearance) for Acolyte of the Great Dark and higher tiers! And it's a great story, especially for espionage fans😉Nuff said!

For this month's DEAD Time, I was thrilled to chat with Andrea Perron about the chilling true story behind THE CONJURING, what her family experienced in the house in Rhode Island for a decade, Ed and Lorraine Warren, and a lot more. Read our exclusive interview on Bloody Disgusting!
