HypoVax Global lead Abena S. Amoah, PhD 👩🏾💻👩🏾🔬 gave a presentation on the “The art of global networking to share population data” as part of a workshop on “Designing Innovative Global Solutions”

As part of the two day session, I got to share HypoVax Global’s goals and objectives and also hear about the the great work being done WACCBIP and Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research. During the working session I also got to learn about other Universiteit Leiden initiatives with African academic partners

'Vaccines not equally effective worldwide: differences between high- and low-income countries'. Read an interview about HypoVax Global on the LUMC Leiden website with our founder Prof. Maria Yazdanbakhsh and our lead Abena S. Amoah, PhD 👩🏾💻👩🏾🔬 lumc.nl/en/news/2024/v…

An insightful systemic review and meta-analysis by Ludoviko Zirimenya et al on the effects of malaria on responses to unrelated vaccines in animals and humans

Quite an epic edition of The Lancet Global Health with interesting findings from the POPVAC trials (conducted by colleagues in Uganda) that aimed to elucidate the drivers of vaccine-specific immune responses in urban and rural settings in Uganda Gyaviira Nkurunungi 🇺🇬👨🏾🔬, Alison Elliott Ludoviko Zirimenya MRC/UVRI and LSHTM Uganda Research Unit

Congratulations to Professor Alison Elliott on the well-deserved OBE !
