As ‘non-expert’, I am surprised by the amateur communications & lack of consistent messaging by experts in official & advisory roles with regards to vaccine safety & effectiveness. Building public trust is step 1. Should be mandatory to have formal media training in these roles.

We are battling a new variant using outdated rules - in a fight with 1 arm tied - closing beds due to staffing etc. We need to pivot & quick

#Omicron narrative seems to be 1 of opposite extremes - ie it is mild OR the system is on the verge of collapse. Neither is true & IMO such facile reports are not helpful.
