🚨BMA win in court!🚨 RCGP’s policy on exam attempts is *unlawful and unfair to disabled trainees* and is quashed. Our fight must now ensure the new policy allows reasonable adjustments and additional exam attempts for doctors with a late diagnosis bma.org.uk/bma-media-cent…

The fact that Truss even considered scrapping cancer treatments on the NHS to cover up her disastrous budget, is yet another example of the Government using the NHS as a political football. Utterly condemnable and beyond the pale. Do politicians have no shame?

This is actually staggering to read considering the mess RCGP has made over things in recent years. Welcoming PA’s into general practice at the expense of highly qualified GP’s is a recipe for disaster. These words from the RCGP are too little too late.

Becoming a GP - MRCGP - Exams, e-portfolio, work place assessments - an extremely difficult process - min 10 years I should know, I have helped over 60 candidates, some after multiple attempts Yet RCGP leaders/GMC/NHSE/Govt want PAs to bypass this seeing undifferentiated patients

I'm in EoE now but I did medical school and my foundation training in ST, I consider it home. I only want the best team for doctors everywhere and this applies double for ST. If I could I'd vote DV in ST - sensible and hard working, they are the team you want! 🦀🦀🦀

Public services have already been cut to the bone. There is no more slack left in the system. This is austerity dressed up as ‘fiscal responsibility’. What more do politicians want from us?

It is vital that female doctors are given equal opportunities to men in the NHS. There have been multiple instances where women are talked down to, passed over, abused and ridiculed simply because of their gender. The gender gap must be closed faster in the workplace.

GMC This is disgraceful. You pushed through this horribly worded survey to try to get a certain slanted response. Even the patient groups warned you about this. When the responses turned out to be not what you wanted, you are now trying to delay and obscure. This won’t work.

A UK doctor summing up perfectly why so many of us think the GMC is no longer fit for purpose. Probity, transparency, candour, integrity - all core duties of a doctor, yet not, any longer, qualities of our ersatz regulator 🤷‍♀️

Ward walk at Charing Cross Hospital today. I spoke about the ongoing pay referendum and reminded doctors to vote. I explained whatever the result of the vote, it's vital we have a high turnout and remain united moving forwards. It was good to see most doctors have voted!

Removing paid breaks is not a wellbeing initiative, it's a cost-cutting measure MFT NHS   We are amazed that you are trying to impose this change after BMA reps objected. The Junior Doctor Contract you claim to want to mirror mandates paid breaks. Our LNC is on the case.

The deadline for voting in the junior doctor pay referendum is fast approaching. This is your chance to shape the future of full pay restoration. It takes two seconds to vote. But the impact of your vote will reverberate long after.
