I know it’s only the first Test but you can’t underestimate the importance of the first Ashes Test. Huge win in the context of the series. Massive ticker from the tail and another crucial knock from Uz. Enjoy lads, Lord’s awaits! #Ashes23

When you wake up to see your team win an Ashes epic and Taylor Swift announces her Australian concert dates at the same time you realise the universe really is looking after you. I’m getting a powerball ticket this week!

32 Test match tons and 12 Ashes tons - he’s cementing himself as one of the greats. Hope he really enjoys that block of Cadbury dairy milk tonight, he’s earned it. #smudger #Ashes2023

I know the naysayers will say this doesn’t matter but for everything Marshy portrays when he’s at his best with the bat, you can times that by 1000 in terms of the person he is. That was beautiful to watch and I couldn’t be happier for him.

Absolute legend and beautifully said. So glad the rest of Australia is finally catching on to what all those around you have always seen. Look out the Crown dance floor is all I can say, the lid will be coming off!

Incredible innings Peter Lalor We had some ‘robust’ chats over the years but it was your ability to always sniff out the bullshit, sarcastic banter & great integrity I appreciated the most. The kindness you showed me in Sth Africa I will never forget. Well played, drinks on me soon

So many fond memories of working with Nath on pool decks all over the world. Always the first smiling face athletes saw after their race and highly respected by all those who worked with him. Gone way too soon. Thoughts are with his family and friends.

Hats off to one of the great wordsmiths I’ve ever had the privilege of reading & crossing paths with in my career - many times on tour. Baumy was a man of few words if you sat near him in the press box but made up for it with his masterful prose. As Crash said, a ripping bloke.
