The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers will be honored this weekend for their championship.

Nebraska has lost its last five Big Ten openers. Overall, Nebraska’s record in Big Ten openers since joining the conference in 2011 is 6-8. However, when those openers are played at home, the Huskers are 4-1. Interestingly, Michigan has won 53 of its last 57 Big Ten openers.

The Big Ten Tournament will expand to 18 teams during the 2025-26 season, per the Big Ten Network. This will now include all teams in the league after only 15 played in the Big Ten Tournament last season.
