@hunterhammersen

I knit tiny nonsense. And I'm apparently the bossy type, so I'll totally tell you how to do the same.

Yup. This. I bought a three bedroom two bathroom house on 2.5 acres in 2017. Its current estimate is twice what I paid. If I had to move, I'd spend far far more per month for a smaller house on less land.

Successful bookshelf purge! I have 3 tall bookcases in the dining room, & between them I was able to locate 20 books that are ready to go live happier lives somewhere else. This, plus a little rearranging, led to the creation of One Empty Shelf, which I shall fill with plants.

Atlanta Police Department hiring event in Brooklyn was disrupted today by abolitionists who released 300 crickets into the Marriott hosting. The fire alarm was also pulled. Per release: “We are everywhere. We are the horde of locusts that will destroy you.”

What is the oldest piece of lace you have ever seen? This delicate gauze head cloth with a pattern of zoomorphic heads was painstakingly made in the Chancay Valley between the 12th & 15th centuries (north of modern-day Lima, Peru)

Oh wow, I haven't seen anyone put it like that before, and that's EXACTLY right. Yes, I'm still masking. Yes, I'd love to meet up, but if you wanna do a restaurant, I need it to be outside. Yes, I am going to be doing this for the foreseeable future.

This. This is why I dropped out of grad school to write knitting patterns. I make more than that, and I don't have to deal with nearly as much bullshit.

one hopes some eccentric heir to an ancient estate names a price of "my chalet, plus a yearly endowment," but the point is any digital album of ours on Bandcamp today is NAME YOUR PRICE. Go wild.! Coroner's Gambit reissued, if you don't know Hex of Infinite Binding I'm fond of it

Remember those pinchy pinch purses your grandma had in her bag? The ones where you pretended they were monster mouths when you opened them? How about a knitted version? Going 'chomp chomp chomp' is optional, but encouraged! ravelry.com/patterns/libra… payhip.com/b/plj4H

I'm trying out tiktok. Which I realize this is hilariously bad timing, what with the ban. But whatever, that's what being a small business is like! So, if you're on there come find me: tiktok.com/@HunterHammers… I don't know what I'm doing, so there may be amusing mistakes!

Libraries are so damn cool! My local library is doing a four week embroidery class, and it's been so fun. First two weeks turned out this, and you can totally come join for the next two weeks if you're so inclined! librarycamden.org/event/healing-…

For #WorldBeeDay I’m going to share one of the WILDEST things (literally) about Rosslyn Chapel. So, I usually tell people that all the things you think are weird about Rosslyn are fairly normal, and the things you think are normal are actually extremely weird… 🧵
