How are Occupational Health depts allowed to ask the questions that they ask doctors when they start in a new hospital? The questions would not be asked in other professions, are ridiculously invasive, and most of them, regardless of answer, would have no impact on the job

Good article although some oversimplifications. First it is CROWDING not overcrowding There is no level of being beyond capacity that is safe. Overcrowding implies crowding is fine. Limerick ED at twice “what it is built for” is no different to any other ED. All underresourced.

Even so, the system doesn’t allow us to progress, failing to acknowledge our dedication and the quality of our service. We merely fill in the scheduling gaps, and it crushes our aspirations. Simply IMGs has no future in Ireland. we are all LEAVING!
