Ok, so I made a mistake. The Lewotobi eruption was brief strong Vulcanian followed by sustained sub plinian. I mistook the plume height of the Vulcanian component and wrongly assumed plinian (>=20 km). That is how I made a mistake.

Episode 28 of the ongoing Kīlauea summit eruption is over after 9 hours of continuous lava fountaining. The south vent did not appear to activate at all during this episode and has been completely covered by new deposits. Lava fountains reached approximately 1200 ft (365 m).

As of the morning of Sunday, July 13, earthquake rates at Mount Rainier continue to decline. Interpretation remains consistent with water/fault interaction. No sign of magmatic activity. Most recent status update is at ow.ly/EFVg50WoSEz
