Truth.

Abby Zwerner is the first grade teacher who was shot by her 6-year-old student yesterday. She has life threatening injuries. Ms. Zwerner allegedly told her students to “run” when she was shot. Our teachers deserve better than this. Our students deserve better than this.

Due to the inclement weather, all Olentangy schools and buses will operate on a two-hour delay tomorrow, January 23. In addition, all morning preschool classes are cancelled.

I could not love this more!

The collective grief, heartbreak & horror unfolding at Michigan State tonight is unfathomable. Holding the entire MSU community in my heart. This repetitive terror cannot continue. We must come together and do whatever it takes to protect our kids & communities from gun violence.

14 months ago I had to evacuate from Oxford High Schol when a fifteen year old opened fire and killed four of my classmates and injured seven more. Tonight, I am sitting under my desk at Michigan State Univeristy, once again texting everyone “I love you” When will this end?

A second MSU student who has survived two school shootings. She survived Sandy Hook and now MSU. Is this the way we want to raise our children? I sure don’t.

Arielle Anderson, 19, was a sophomore at Michigan State University and aspired to become a pediatric doctor. She was close with her grandmother and had just stayed with her on Saturday night. Her grandmother said she was “kind, loving, caring, compassionate, driven."

Brian Fraser, 20, was a sophomore at Michigan State University. He played varsity lacrosse in high school and was the chapter president of his fraternity at MSU. His sister said he was a light in his family's lives.

This shouldn’t have happened.

She deserves an award. She was calm, precise, direct and in command. I was in awe of her work.

There is a reason this man has a lifetime contract at Michigan State. Nobody loves MSU like Tom Izzo does. We are not done and never will be with this man at the helm. In Izzo We Trust.
