Algebra 2 classes exploring exponential functions!

There's no week like a math spirit week! Hinsdale South has some fun plans for next week, which are of course highlighted by a Pi Day celebration on 3.14.

It's the first day of Math Spirit Week! Today the Math Department celebrated with "triplet day" since pi is approximately 3.14

Ms. Johnson's Algebra and Trig Honors class had a guest appearance from physics teacher Dr. Bonner today as they did a joint motion sensor math/science lab about graphing trig functions! Great cross-curricular work!

Geometry in Construction classes are applying triangle trigonometry to add support for their wall module. Great to see how math is used outside of the math classroom! D86CTE

Mrs. Wilson's Algebra/Geo students studied linear regression this week and completed a Barbie Bungee project! Luckily the weather held up for them to test their predictions!
