What a great field day WilliamFMurphySchool! Kudos to Coach Champion and our outgoing 6th graders on bringing awesome weather and a really fun and well-deserved day!

Some of our new table/team/countries w/ their flags for the 9th annual sig72 Olympics WilliamFMurphySchool!! The summer games kicked off the year helping build relationships and chemistry through teamwork. Winter games after break in January. Another great start!!

These guys took the overall gold after 9 super fun events and because of that we got to conclude closing ceremonies with another performance of their rousing anthem WilliamFMurphySchool!!!

A little interview writing get-to-know-you action & public speaking (w some fabulous portrait skills on display) as well as some 5th grade food scientist work on how properties of substances affect mixtures here today WilliamFMurphySchool - kids did a great job!

September Kindness Project underway WilliamFMurphySchool - kids are pitching in to clean up the Murphy campus and some are even helping out around the community. Good stuff!

Fun and much needed team builder as we work on teamwork here WilliamFMurphySchool - which team can build the tallest structure. Speedy random piling quickly gave way for communication, listening, & reasoning.

I believe we may have had a record # of photos come in from outside of school WilliamFMurphySchool for our 1st month’s Kindness Project as Ridge Kids cleaned up their homes/communities in the spirit of our work around campus - very cool to see our message extend beyond school hours!

Sometimes on a sunny Friday afternoon WilliamFMurphySchool, students looking out the window is a little more interesting than what their teacher is trying to tell them. And we were just talking about resilience & perseverance - good stuff little buddy!

I had to take them out in celebration of a solid week of work at the end of the day WilliamFMurphySchool and they taught me to play! Such a blast!

Nonfiction text features, models/model parts, main idea/supports, synthesizing, teamwork & more on display WilliamFMurphySchool as groups present their labeled tsunami models. So good.

What a great, very fun turnout so far WilliamFMurphySchool’s Family Math, Reading, and STEM Night here in the Blackout Poetry room!

Wrapped up our monthly Kindness Project so proud of the haul the kids brought in for our food drive WilliamFMurphySchool - just over a hundred pounds for the West Suburban Community Pantry !!!

International SEL Day here WilliamFMurphySchool! Updating Kindness Projects: in Nov we donated 176 lbs of food to the food pantry & for Decembuary donated lots of winter clothing to D68 schools & to the community. Feb we made bracelets for staff. Proud of these Ridge Kids! #W68SELDAY

Our most recent kindness project WilliamFMurphySchool saw Ss writing happy spring cards for the assisted living facility by the apartments in the Ridge & was also lucky enough to bring an esteemed D68 alum & current JJH cutie to deliver some to my grandma’s memory care facility!

Outdoor Ed at Camp Duncan on a beautiful day WilliamFMurphySchool here we come!

Outdoor ed was a blast! On our way back to the Ridge - WilliamFMurphySchool kids got to be outside together all day working in teams and smiling a lot!

The kids loved seeing the huge message of encouragement from Mrs. Baldwin & Mrs. Mungia’s classes for student appreciation week WilliamFMurphySchool - very cool!
