A cyclist just passed me on the sidewalk because the bike lane isn’t cleared. Instead, city snow contractors seem focused on clearing an extra car lane even though (a) there are already three lanes plowed for cars, and (b) more than half of people who live downtown have no car.

Transit agencies should only be allowed to constrain capacity over the weekend only if the highways to out-of-town weekend getaways are also shut down for construction over the weekend.

Oil and gas companies want Canada to cut regulations around carbon. But that would bind our economy further with the U.S. The UK & EU are already implementing Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanisms on high carbon goods. Higher carbon closes those markets. thestar.com/politics/feder…

Who should get priority? A few cars or 100s of transit riders? Ask Councillors to give transit the green light: ttcriders.ca/greenlight This video (taken yesterday at Leslie & Eglinton) shows an Eglinton Crosstown vehicle waiting at a red light while a few vehicles turn left.

I’m watching ‘The Residence’ on Netflix and you know what? I could watch Uzo Aduba and Randall Park banter back and forth all day long.

We need North-South rapid transit line in Etobicoke. My vote is up and down Kipling from Rexdale to the lake. It would connect Finch to the Eglinton line, the Kipling subway station, the Etobicoke North and Kipling GO stations, and the 501 streetcar.

These are great initiatives. And we also need to do more: - eliminate oil, gas, and other fossil fuels - set green building standards for all buildings - make it much, much easier to thrive without needing to buy a car, which spends 95% of its life parked anyways.

TTC service on Dufferin and Bathurst consistently ranks among the slowest in the city. We are speaking up today with TTCriders asking City Council to speed up the Dufferin bus & Bathurst streetcar/bus with priority lanes up to Eglinton. loom.ly/7jnxZmY

I spoke this morning with workers and business owners and transit riders calling on Toronto to join New York, London, Montreal and others and install hundreds of kilometers of transit priority lanes across Toronto.
