Our ‘let’s get cooking’ pack for this week looks delicious. The feedback from our parents on our packs has been amazing”. The children and their families all being involved in cooking the recipes and sharing their photos back with us at playgroup.

We celebrated the jubilee in a small way with a royal tea party snack, we always follow our children’s interests and voices which meant our environment and play was all bugs, bubbles and dinosaurs and not any jubilee activities at this time. Who knows what next week may hold ❤️

It was lovely to welcome our families officially back into playgroup today with our afternoon tea, it was lovely to spend time chatting with parents and showing the children’s folders and too see parents chat with each other too. We all had a lovely morning 💖

Who doesn’t love a sticker?!? Our new stickers for our Children, these will be used to give to the children and for them to give each other and to be used in our learners journals along with observations.

Today we looked at Remembrance day with the children, we watched a beautiful short video from CBeebies which we love every year, it opens up lots of conversations with the children. We also made some Poppy pictures and biscuits to take home.

Todays let’s get cooking bags that went home was Roast pepper and tomato soup. We can’t wait to see all the photos from our families and hear what you all thought of the recipe. 🥣

Thank you to West Lothian Council Early Learning & Childcare for inviting us along to the elc conference to showcase our setting and do workshop’s on our fantastic let’s get cooking project. Always great to meet practitioners from other settings.

It might be sunny this week, but we love to embrace the rain ☔️ we love being outdoors regardless of the weather. There’s no such thing as bad weather 🩷

We love going on walks but exploring in autumn is just different, all the colours, crunchy leaves, tall trees, exploring our amazing wall garden near by where it was filled with sensory plants to touch and smell, we even found magic wands to play before leaving them for others 🍁
