Hotspur Lodge was honoured with a visit from Officers of Provincial Grand Lodge led by APGM, W Bro Alasdair Watson. Bros Josh and Antonios were initiated into the Lodge in an excellent ceremony. They join other new Brethren, recently raised MMs Michael, Elliott and Peter.

The Hotspur Golf Tournament and Summer Social was a great success. A glorious day on the fairways and a lovely evening. As Mick always wins, the big question was who came 2nd? Congrats to Kevin as 2nd, Simon guest winner and Gill ladies finalist.

Hotspur brethren at the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge of Northumberland celebrated the appointments to Provincial Grand Rank of W Bro Steven to PProvAGDC and Bro Derek to PProvGPurs.

Congratulations to Bros Antonios and Josh on recently attaining their Master Mason’s degree and to Bros Christian, Matt and Peter who received their Grand Lodge certificates.

At our very enjoyable Christmas meeting we raffled a specially made for us cake. We cut into it and had a piece with our coffees; delicious. The winner took home almost half that was left. We raised £65 to be donated to the Newcastle Dog and Cat Centre.

A great night was had at the Hotspur Lodge Gala Dinner Dance at The County, Newcastle last night. We were very well entertained with live music by the talented Alex Lomas. Thank you for your support and the tremendous sum of £445 raised from the raffle.
