It speaks volumes that Rep. Isenhart had to use a picture of a forest outside Iowa to defend the lowa forest reserve program...

The acres in the ‘forest reserve program’ are not actual forest and it’s being used and abused by people looking to avoid property taxes.

Counting steps at the Capitol is back. Last year, I began counting the steps all over the Capitol. Today, I found 143 steps in the attic. That gets the total to 1580 steps so far. #iowacapitol #desmoines #ialegis

It was Iowa Honey Bee Day at the Capitol. This young man educated me about honey bees and hives. He started beekeeping with a youth scholarship from the Iowa Honey Producers. I also visited with Olivia Moody, former Central Iowa Honey Queen & former House page. #ialegis
