It is a sad sign of the times in journalism to be getting referenced by an FTC commissioner about how my investigative reporting informed his thinking about a major policy, while at the same time being laid off from the job where i did said investigative reporting

This season in the audio world is pretty baffling. Sending all the brilliant brains/tender hearts who do this work strength in this weird winter we're living. </3

It would be like if you went to a film festival and they paired the Oscar winning documentary with a reality tv show and a late night talk show and just called it all “visual storytelling” …and then made them justify their business models/audience numbers to each other. 3/4

Still fuming and heartbroken with the events of this past week, but I too was also laid off with the rest of our brilliant team @moreperfect and some WNYC role models whose work inspired me to dream of working there in the first place 😕. I'd appreciate any job leads! 🧵below.
