Big day today - invested as Deputy Governor of the Hon Irish Society Society, following representing City of London at the presentation of loyal addresses to HM The King as one of the 27 privileged bodies (primarily faith groups, universities and leading local authorities).

The Irish Society’s Primary School were honoured to be invited to celebrate #CommonwealthDay Service in Westminster Abbey yesterday. Pupils representing the school watched on as HM The King addressed about 2,000 guests from the UK and Commonwealth, #commonwealthday2023

Great couple of days in Northern Ireland accompanying City of London Policy Chairman on his visit promoting the City’s Vision for Economic Growth. As Deputy Governor of Hon Irish Society I am very proud of the City’s historic and contemporary links to NI, especially Derry/Londonderry.

Returning home today from a great three day Hon Irish Society trustees’ visit to Northern Ireland including 5 school prizegivings, meeting 2 new mayors and many other stakeholders, inspecting our River Bann fisheries, and awarding over £20,000 in small grants.

Helen Mark DL had a wonderful day at Rossmar School at the Secondary Department well deserved Oscars awards. Entertained by all the amazing pupils, with music, laughter and fun. Congratulations to all - a school we are very proud to have in our Borough.
