Sorry for the late posting! We had a great time at the NISD Esports Fall Kickoff. Every year it gets bigger, better, and way more crowded! The excitement this year was real. It was also nice to see not only our players on the big poster, but #babycoach playing a great game!

Huskies take the first eSports win of the season. Our OW2 team, Malamute, managed to defeat the Pennsbury Falcons in our season opener. As a reminder, our OW2 team didn't win a single match in the fall season of 2023. Great start for our year.

Jose "Toffy!" Pineda goes undefeated in Super Smash at the monthly R20 Premier Esports League event on the South Side of San Antonio at Techport. He was undefeated and didn't lose a single game. The Holmes Valorant team, also excelled for the day, going 3 and 1 in the series. A.V.

Do you know when the Holmes eSports team started? The Huskies began in the Fall of 2021. We started out in a small Spanish lab with only two games, 30 players, and a big drive to win. Today we are over 100 players strong in eight different games. A.V.

Carel "Electric_star788" Contreras, a member of the Holmes eSports team, fires off a goal after 4 years of training for the Northside Championship. Carel is a dedicated and hardworking player who strives to be more consistent in his shots. A.V.

Today is the day of the Tri-School tournament with Mr. Smith 's Warren Warriors and Clark Esports Setting up competition stations for Smash is no joke, but our players and students came up with a plan and saw it through. Should be fierce!

Victories and losses, the quantified end result of any sport. Last week we lost our tournament to Warren eSports, but we won in other ways. Not only did four of the Holmes Smash players make it into the top ranked players in the city, but Holmes Valorant is now #2 in the city!

And in with the new.Smash Captain, "RJRocky", is holding up the new jerseys gifted by NISD Esports To bring balance to our team, all console players in the future will wear the new jerseys, while all PC will wear the old. Look forward to the future, never forget the past.

We are happy to announce our Spring 2025 game for high school players will be Marvel Rivals! It will be installed on all esports PCs soon, and competition will take place at our Spring Qualifiers on Sat. March 29th. So, players: Pick your hero... Or villain, we're not judging.

Although it's preseason, it's nice to point out when we make a large leap forward in national esports standings. Ranked 5th out of 199 teams, Holmes Huskies' Team Black.

Not only did the Holmes/NSITE eSports team win the Marvel Rivals District Championship, but, Jose "Toffy!" Pineda is the first eSports player in NISD history to win a fall and spring championship in the same school year! Congratulations to all!

A little late, but here we are. For the second time, Toffy! of the Holmes/NSITE eSports team, has won the R20 championship. It is also his third time, out of three, in the final round. Congratulations to both Jose "Toffy!" Pineda and his Coach Eric Campbell.
