Earlier, we were dispatched to investigate a report from a resident that the flame on their gas stove was orange instead of blue. When the flame is orange or yellow, it indicates that the fuel is not burning completely, potentially due to insufficient oxygen or blockages.

⚠️ Think before you flick! ⚠️ Disposing of cigarettes improperly can have serious consequences, especially around materials like mulch, which can easily catch fire. 🔥 Friday afternoon, Engine 2 responded to a local plaza where mulch was smoking. 🚒

Instead of burning sensitive documents, consider using a shredder at home or taking them to a community shredding event! It's a safer and more environmentally friendly way to protect your information.

Our crews responded to a concerning outside fire today, right by a business entrance. This incident underscores a vital message: every individual plays a role in preventing fires. Always, ALWAYS fully extinguish and properly dispose of cigarettes and other smoking materials.

Join us at 10:15 AM at Holliston Library for a special story time with our very own fire chief! We'll be reading stories about firefighters and fire safety. It's a great opportunity for young children to learn about the vital work our firefighters do in a fun, friendly environment.

Drills are a critical part of our safety plan. Practicing evacuations helps students and staff develop muscle memory and equip everyone with clear response options so they know exactly what to do in the event of an actual emergency. Thank you to everyone for participating.
