Clarksville Youth Care Group is hosting an Upcycling Artwork Showcase at the Miller Library until the end of August. The theme is "When Sustainability meets Creativity". The artworks are made from recycled household items by Howard County students.

Food scraps, napkins and compostable trays are sorted in the cafeteria, collected and sent to our Composting Facility at Alpha Ridge Landfill. Schools that wish to participate can complete our online interest form: form.jotform.com/211174121983047

For non-working appliances, schedule a Scrap Metal Collection or take appliances (toasters, mixers, toaster ovens, coffee makers, microwaves, etc.) to the scrap metal area at the Residents' Convenience Center at Alpha Ridge Landfill. Refrigerator doors must be removed.

Friendly Reminder: We are going to have high wind and rain beginning tomorrow so residents please secure all carts and bins today make sure that they don’t blow away.

Have an old car seat? Check out Target's Car Seat Trade-In program. Or remove the padding from the car seat to recycle the plastic part with curbside recycling or at the Residents' Convenience Center Alpha Ridge Landfill.

Carpet/rug can be taken to Alpha Ridge Landfill to be disposed as trash (tip fee applies).
