I stayed in Bonn for 11 years! Thanks for the original curiosity and continued passion on science! Thanks for financial support from DFG public | @[email protected] and Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn! I am now ready for new challenges and willing to deepen “Plant Genetics” for agriculture and One Health in TU München !

We have expanded our sequence indexed, transposon induced BonnMu maize 🌽 mutant repository to 426.000 insertions in 93% of genes w/ on av. 12 mutant alleles/gene. We have now also mutations in European Flint lines DK105, F7 & EP1. The Plant Journal onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/tp…

Our new lab building Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn is almost finished. My favorite feature is our cooled seed storage room.

The annual meeting of our BMBF funded project MAZE 3.0, which aims at accessing native diversity to improve quantitative traits in 🌽 took place Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn this week. Our main targets are genes relevant for cold tolerance during early development. europeanmaize.net
