First half ends with the game in a 2-2 tie. Second half about to bingo now. #BringTheEnergy DMV Hockey Prospects
But fate & defenseman Drew Pfeufer (Washington Little Caps) had other plans. With the goaltender pulled in the 6-on-5, Pfeufer tapped home a loose puck to score the game tying goal with 7.8 seconds left. Game ends in a 3-3 tie. Fast, fun hockey was played. Can’t ask for much more! (2/2)
Daniel Viscione (Dan Viscione) gets HNIB Capital District on the board just 40 seconds into the opening frame with a shot on the off-wing side. Assist goes to Max Rutkowski. #FirstShiftGoals DMV Hockey Prospects

As we conclude the 49th Annual Hockey Night Major Showcase, it comes time for the best tradition in showcase hockey…All-Star Selections. This year HNIB Capital District earns 2 All-Star Selections and 2 Alternate Selections. Stay tuned for brief bios on each of the boys selected. DMV Hockey Prospects
Leading off the selections with the alternates…first up we have the undeniable energy leader & leading scorer for @hnibdc this year, forward Brady Gannon (Hingham Hockey). Brady has tons of skill & a non-stop motor. He’s always ready to play and lead the team with his energy.
Next up for the Alternates is one of many multi-selection All-Stars on the HNIB Capital District roster, forward Daniel Viscione (Dan Viscione) (from BMHS Hockey). Daniel is an insanely skilled forward who plays the game w/ a workman-like attitude & a quiet confidence that coaches love.
On the the All-Star Selections for HNIB Capital District. We’ll start with a two-time Hockey Night All-Star, defenseman Ryan Wallace (from Lawrence Academy). Ryan is a coaches dream - a talented, hardworking and very coachable D with a very bright future in the game. He gets better every year!
Last, and certainly not least, for the selections is now a 3-time All-Star for HNIB Capital District at Hockey Night, forward Max Rutkowski (U18 Esmark Stars AAA). Max is the skilled forward who doesn’t mind also playing a physical, gritty game. He’ll battle in the corners & dazzle with his hands.
Your 2023 Hockey Night 49th Annual Major Showcase All-Stars. Congrats to Max Rutkowski (U18 Esmark Stars AAA) on his 3rd selection and Ryan Wallace (Lawrence Academy) on his 2nd selection. Coach HockeyCoachBen also coached the Orange team. DMV Hockey Prospects
