Adam Rackis Windows is about to become a browser (probably Chromium variant) on top of a Linux kernel. It would fit Microsoft's strategy to push everyone to the cloud, and it would save them a huge amount of money in development costs. Windows is no longer the product.

- $15 billion dollar company - ships entire browser with their application cause "native GUI too hard bro" - javascript so devs don't have to reason about memory - leaks memory anyway - "let's just restart the application when we go above 4 GB" this is a new rock bottom

I respect non-profit open source, but I'll say that I wish we could fund for-profit open source work, specially from small teams or individuals.
