James Watt is the President's Gold Medal winner this year. He has explored many aspects of astronomy and cosmology and will be working on MHD simulations at the Australian National University. An avid reader, he was the most active library user for two years.

Prajakta Mane has been awarded the S N Kaul Medal for the best all round performance by a student from the graduating batch. She has worked on projects related to LSST and lensed supernovae. She was a very active The Astronomy Club, IISER Mohali convener and a co founder of WiPMA IISER Mohali

Vasudev Mittal is amongst the leading scorer in the batch and missed the top position by a very narrow margin. He is a budding cosmologist and has done some very interesting work on the cosmological dipole for radio sources.

Athul C N has interests that span cosmology and data analytics. His MS thesis with Harvinder Kaur Jassal contains interesting analysis of routinely used data and points to somewhat unusual statistical distribution of errors.

Manpreet Singh is a budding astronomer. He also likes to play the flute and sing.

Gagandeep Singh is interested in addressing problems at the interface of gravitation and quantum field theories. He studied some of the problems that arise in studies of black holes for his MS thesis.

Niranjan A is interested in high energy astrophysics and exoplanets. He has also been an active part of the The Astronomy Club, IISER Mohali and outreach activities.

Students of various schools from around the region visited us on the 19th Foundation day of IISER Mohali and curiously explored physics demos regarding different topics : Electricity and Magnetism, Biophysics, Quartz based Biosensor, pattern formation in magnetic suspension.
