This September, I'll be embarking on an 100-mile bike trek for the Alpha-1 Foundation Alpha-1 Foundation #RidingforaReason to support Alpha-1 patients, families, and research to find a cure. Please support Team BMC/BU! 🚲 give.alpha1.org/goto/jessie
The Kotton Lab is thrilled to announce our 2 back-to-back publications online today Cell Stem Cell, focused on lung regeneration by engrafting epithelia engineered from pluripotent stem cells! One paper on airway, and one on alveolar reconstitution! Check them out here (1/5):
Congratulations to Michael Herriges and Martin Ma on a wonderful pair of papers - hot off the press! - on alveolar and airway engraftment of ESC/PSC-derived cells in mice 🫁
Rain-schmain! Team BU and CReM rode 100 miles on the Cape and raised over $17K for Alpha-1 research! #AEBT2023 Lung Association: NE Alpha-1 Foundation
I’m thrilled to announce the opening of the Lu lab today at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. My lab will study the mechanisms of cardiovascular development and regeneration. I'm hiring at all levels; please contact me if you want to join our group.
Amazing work by Claire Burgess from the Kotton lab!! The best bay mate with the best puns, Claire was able to generate a very difficult-to-study cell type from iPSCs, paving the way for future models of alveolar epithelial type 1 cells.
What a blast at #ATS2024! Loved hearing about the science, reconnecting with friends and mentors, and meeting new colleagues! (Feat. Yao Wei Lu, Jaymin Kathiriya, CReM Twitterless Kostas & Anat, and my PhD mentors Steve & Winnie!)
#ATS2024 photo dump continues - had a fantastic time with Keck School of Medicine of USC PCCSM colleagues and alums, the Hastings Center for Pulmonary Research #HCPR crew, and conference puppies 🐾
Just out today APL Bioengineering: our latest collaborative work with Chris Chen's Lab Biological Design Center, Boston University CReM , bioengineering human iPSC-derived lung chips! Thanks for leading the way to our co-first authors: Jessie Huang and Keith Gagnon! #helpisontheway. pubs.aip.org/aip/apb/articl…
I’m extremely grateful for the support provided by Keck School of Medicine of USC!
