Setting up 12 of our #computervision and #AI enabled moth traps as a pilot of large-scale, long-term, automated #insectmonitoring. Project funded and hosted by Aage V. Jensen Naturfond. Traps are harmless to insects as they are simply imaged. Looking forward to the novel data streams!

Justice for moths! Our new #BiologyLetters paper shows how insect surveillance cameras fairly represent nocturnal pollinators royalsocietypublishing.org/doi/10.1098/rs… Royal Society Publishing Biodiversity at Aarhus University Thanks to co-authors Toke Thomas Høye Hjalte Mann and stunning photography by Jeff Kerby

A great example of how automated technologies can help us reveal key ecological processes. BIG congrats Jamie Alison Hjalte Mann Toke Thomas Høye

Thanks a lot for your help and support of this project! Much appreciated. The pictures will be analysed with deep learning and computer vision tools recently developed by Hjalte Mann …lpublications.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.10… through support from DK Frie Forsk.fond

Incredible #insect #diversity is a challenge for camera-based #insectmonitoring. Through a massive effort PollinatorWatch, we publish a benchmark dataset, greatly improved #deeplearning models and a way foward. See our preprint biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

We have an opening for a postdoc to continue this work with Hjalte Mann Jamie Alison Mads Dyrmann and a great international team MAMBO Project One week left to apply international.au.dk/about/profile/…
