Today is #WorldHealthDay. Pictured are some of the many medical artifacts #FromTheCollection. The blue bottle once held Milk of Magnesia, while the clear bottle held unknown medicine from the Bienville Pharmacy in the 1880s. Also pictured is a mortar and pestle set.

On this day in 1974, Mobile born and raised baseball player Hank Aaron broke Babe Ruth’s 1935 record for the most career home runs with his 715th. #FromTheCollection is Hank Aaron’s 754th, a walk-off homerun off Texas pitcher Steve Foucault. He retired with 755 career home runs.
