The new timeline view in Datadog Continuous Profiler gives you a detailed chronological visualization of multithreaded activity, helping you pinpoint causal factors behind non-parallelization and other runtime performance issues more easily. Read more: dtdg.co/timeline-view

The Datadog, Inc. Continuous Profiler always improves datadoghq.com/blog/source-co… docs.datadoghq.com/profiler/conne… Note there’s also a plugin for @IntelliJIDEA & other JetBrains IDEs with a simpler integration, plugins.jetbrains.com/plugin/19495-d…. If you are using Continuous Profiler, send feedback (TY).

Go の Continuous Profiler、Datadog をよく聞きますね。 というか Datadog しか聞かない。 GoCon2024 でも Kanmu の方が話していて、それもprofile data を Datadog から取得してた。 これだ → gocon.jp/2024/sessions/… #layerxgo

Project Leyden is starting to bear fruit for JRuby! With a patch from Ikai Lan 😐, I have a build of Leyden that HALVES JRuby’s base startup time and trims 25% off of a more complex “gem list” command. The days of slow JRuby startup time are coming to an end! mail.openjdk.org/pipermail/leyd…

I would be open to talks with anyone interested in funding efforts to revitalize the @Jython project, updating it for modern Python and JVM features, making it a viable target for web, science, AI, LLM, and other applications. Python on the JVM has enormous potential.

Datadog has a reputation to provide the best, but not the cheapest products. However, one aspect that is easy to forgot is that good observability empowers engineers to significantly optimize cloud cost. Learn how dogfooding our own products is saving us huge amounts of money.

Would you like to contribute to an open source project, but don't know how to get started? Or would you just like to join in on a fun day of coding? On Saturday I'll be at Hack-Commit-Push Switzerland: lnkd.in/dEdxnnkp Hope to see you there!

Congrats to Hendrik Schick on his first OpenJDK JDK Mission Control contribution: github.com/openjdk/jmc/pu… Also thanks to the excellent hack.commit.push initiative that enabled it: switzerland2024.hack-commit-pu.sh
