2024 was a eventful year. In November, I defended my PhD thesis☺️I was also a member of organizing commitee for the 5th Snow algae meeting and it was a great experience. I've also got an offer for the post-doc position. looking forward to 2025!😌🙏🏻 #latepost

This is a truly wild article. About 5% of cyanobacteria fished from the ocean are connected via nanotubes. These nanotubes are made from lipid membranes. Also, E. coli will sometimes grab onto microbes of *other* species, using these nanotubes, and share nutrients.

A bit late, but excited to share our new paper on snow algae motility!❄️While swimming has long been hypothesized to influence snow algal formation in snowmelt, it hadn't been studied. We tracked snow algae movement in response to temperatures. more in journals.asm.org/doi/10.1128/mb… 🔥
