schopenhauer and hegel had real beef. they taught at the same school and schopenhauer scheduled his classes at the same time as hegel's so you couldn't study with both men. he didn't want a single hegel student. i like that kind of thing.

today hegel might be the better known name but nietzsche wrote an essay on schopenhauer as educator and cleared hegel's entire existence with it.

i taught a 6 week poetry course thru velnon arts in LA. they are a nonprofit, arts-based, community health org with an intersectional approach to care for the underserved. we completed our studies & one of my students handed me this as a gift. he is a grandfather. i miss mine.
