6th grade started a new Wednesday tradition today! Students can only enter the classroom after they’ve beaten their teacher in Rock Paper Scissors! My favorite quote from today was “Now I can’t wait to come to school next Wednesday”! #peakmoments

Loved getting to SERVE UP one of the amazing activities from our Math Menu PD🍽! Students gave the “Estimation Station” a 5-star review and loved having a new may-do option during their independent math switch! Stay tuned for Friday, when the answer is revealed!

So many fun Valentines Day activities today, but my favorite was our “Blind Date with a Book”! 6th graders brought in their favorite book and created a profile for it, complete with a summary, rating, and who they’d recommend it for. Needless to say, we had a lot of good matches!

Over the past few weeks I’ve been lucky enough to have my Mom, Dad, and sister come in for read-alouds in my classroom!📚 I’ve loved every second of my family meeting my Fox family🦊… even if that includes my dad showing up to my place of work in full Star Wars costume!

These 6th graders made a difference today! 82 boxes, 17,712 meals, 49 kids fed for a year!

Passport to Success 🤝 Math Accel 6th graders traveled to different countries to earn passport stamps for solving the unit rate! ✈️
