Hello Great White Sydney, welcome to the OCEARCH family!

The 4th white shark of #ExpeditionNovaScotia just safely swam off the lift! To our surprise after 3 adults in a row, she was a small 8’ 8” female. The people from Cape Breton call themselves Capers and so we are naming this shark Caper.

Introducing white shark Ferg! He’s 11’ 8” long and named in memory of Ray Ferguson, one of the founders of our incredible partner @Costasunglasses who recently passed away. He is the 6th white shark of #ExpeditionNovaScotia.

Watch white shark Bluenose’s heart beat! Our science team is getting its first ever look at a beating white shark heart thanks to the generosity of an OCEARCH friend who donated a new ultrasound machine. We estimate it’s beating at about 10 beats per minute. #ExpeditionNovaScotia
