Our #SharkWeek Big Shark Countdown wouldn’t be complete without the great Mary Lee the shark! She’s the biggest we’ve tagged in the NW Atlantic and we’re still learning from this legendary shark. bit.ly/2ItNhEm

The 4th white shark of #ExpeditionNovaScotia just safely swam off the lift! To our surprise after 3 adults in a row, she was a small 8’ 8” female. The people from Cape Breton call themselves Capers and so we are naming this shark Caper.

Introducing white shark Ferg! He’s 11’ 8” long and named in memory of Ray Ferguson, one of the founders of our incredible partner @Costasunglasses who recently passed away. He is the 6th white shark of #ExpeditionNovaScotia.

Watch white shark Bluenose’s heart beat! Our science team is getting its first ever look at a beating white shark heart thanks to the generosity of an OCEARCH friend who donated a new ultrasound machine. We estimate it’s beating at about 10 beats per minute. #ExpeditionNovaScotia

Gotta admit, definitely feeling a little left out with all these new pings happening on the OCEARCH Tracker. Gonna double down on getting this stupid pinger of mine working again.

What an absolutely incredible trip! #ExpeditionNovaScotia went way further than just SPOT-tagging 11 new sharks. Scientists also made some incredible, even historical observations along the way. PRESS RELEASE: bit.ly/35psgDe

No this is NOT a school of white sharks here of the coast of Maryland. Other fish swim in schools, not us white sharks. There's your schooling for the day.

Newsweek These bite wounds were only a few of the incredible observations we made during #ExpeditionNovaScotia. Another cool one was healthy sperm samples from some of the males.

Right now the NASFA region is lighting up with white shark pings. NASFA stands for Northwest Atlantic Shared Foraging Area.

Maybe it’s because I’m named by a watchmaker, the wonderful Ulysse Nardin, that I don’t waste any time. I’m already up and pinging on the Tracker. Just letting you all know that I’m off the coast of Nantucket a little south from where I was tagged. ocearch.org/tracker/?detai…
