Irish hospital refusing to pay NCHDs who stay beyond 10am the morning after a night shift (a common occurrence with high hospital admissions) but have no issue docking them 2 minutes pay on the rare occasion they do get out. Horrendous working conditions. HSE Ireland IrishHealthInsider
"We will be recommending to our members that if we do not get serious engagement there may be no alternative but to consider industrial action. Allowing the current situation to persist is just not acceptable. It is bad for doctors and bad for patients.” irishtimes.com/news/health/ju…
A doctor told us today that when they do 16 hour call, their hospital pays them for 2 x 8 normal shifts instead, so as to avoid paying then the overtime rate. Another disgrace. Another #twofingerstodoctors Irish Medical Organisation do something!! Do anything
Perks of being an NCHD in Ireland. Getting charged €12.70 if you leave your swipe at home & being told there is no service to get a temporary swipe for the day. I literally paid for access to the wards and the trolley filled ED that day HSE Ireland IrishHealthInsider #StandingUp4NCHDs
Shameful that this is almost 20 years ago and nothing has changed Micheál Martin HSE Ireland #StandingUp4NCHDs
Catching up on RTÉ Prime Time - the fact that Stephen Donnelly wants to ensure that we have “somewhere to put your wallet, somewhere to lock your bike, somewhere to hang your coat and somewhere to get water” really says it all 🤦🏼♀️ #StandingUp4NCHDs
Instead of doing the obvious thing and putting us under one national HSE payroll, they have now made our payslips even more difficult to interpret. Not to mention that emergency tax takes at least 3 months to rectify… 🤦🏼♀️ Irish Medical Organisation this is not a solution #StandingUp4NCHDs
