Sometimes writing is trial and error. For example: Trial: leaving out a very important plot point in my first draft because "it's too hard to incorporate" Error: leaving out a very important plot point apparently DOES affect the plot.

Yesterday I restarted a first draft... It's not a second draft, it's a first draft 2.0 because I never actually finished the original first draft... So that's how writing is going.

My new planner has a concerning outlook of this year. This channel will be about writing at some point I promise. youtube.com/shorts/evN66oT…

Editing is going. I have over 2 pages of notes on ~20 pages of the story. Most of the notes consist of "this character is acting out of character." Editing the plot may require an entire notebook.

Whatever sharpie is putting in these gel pens is amazing. This is the first time I, a person of the left handed variety, have been able to write notes in gel pen and they are not, A: made of smudges, or B: partly made of smudges because I was lifting my hand weird.

I'm editing the plot for book #1 while thinking over an idea I have for series. I can see the idea has major plot holes BEFORE I even started plotting it. I don't know if that means I'm getting better at writing, or this idea is just significantly more problematic in premise.
