Had the pleasure of meeting Spain’s Consul General, Mr Alejandro Polanco Mata, in Manchester on Sept 30th. We discussed boosting connectivity and raising awareness of business opportunities beyond tourism between the UK and Spain.

On the 30th September, I attended the Attestation service at the Greater Manchester Police training centre at Sedgley Park. Over 80 Police Cadets swore their Allegiance to the King and committed to carry out all duties with respect and compassion. Greater Manchester Police

On Oct 1st, I attended Turkish Airlines’ 30th anniversary celebration of flights from Manchester Airport, held at the Science & Industry Museum. A fantastic event showcasing the growth of both Turkish Airlines and Manchester Airport over three decades.

On the 2nd of October, Judith and I were invited to the Lancashire Judge’s Ceremony at the Minster, followed by the proclamation service and refreshments in the splendid Victorian Courts in Preston. A memorable occasion enjoyed by all.

On the 3rd October, I attended a celebration event to mark Manchester Museum's having won the prestigious European Museum of the year award. Another fantastic achievement for Manchester.

Honoured to attend the Annual Judges Ceremony at Manchester Cathedral marking the start of the legal year. A distinguished event recognising the High Sheriff as ceremonial head of the Judiciary, alongside Judges, the Lord Lieutenant, and dignitaries from across Greater Manchester

On October 21st I attended a Citizenship Ceremony at Tameside Town Hall. Alongside the Lord Mayor of Tameside we witnessed various people from around the world as they made their Oath to become British Citizens.

On Oct 22nd, I visited Hidden Treasure Charity at The Hideaway in Partington, founded in 2018 to support and inspire the local community. Their mission: to reverse poverty through education, relationships, and practical support.

On Oct 22nd, I visited the Rochdale Volunteer Police Cadet Unit at Hopwood Hall College. The Cadets were preparing for Remembrance Services, and I had the pleasure of explaining the role of the modern High Sheriff, followed by a great Q&A session.

On October 24th, I attended the Rochdale Diversity Awards presented by The KYP Charity. These awards, held at Rochdale Town Hall, have become a powerful platform for celebrating equality, diversity and inclusion across Rochdale. An excellent event with many worthy winners.

On October 25th I attend the Dedication Service for the new Royal British Legion City of Salford Branch. Held at the Salford Cathedral temporary Church it was a moving tribute to the veterans of the armed forces.

On October 26th, I attended the Dancing Strictly event at The Chetham School of Music. Organised by the Manchester Maccabi, this wonderful event of communal dancing raises funds for many local charities.

On the 6th November, I was honoured to join the Chief Constable of GMP, Sir Stephen Watson, at a passing out parade at Sedgley Park Training Centre.

On the 6th of November, Judith and I attended a Concert of Remembrance at Bolton Town Hall. A magnificent and very moving event.

On 7 November, I had the privilege of attending the GMP Memorial Service at Sedgley Park Police Training Centre - a very moving and well-attended event.

On Saturday, the 8th of November, I attended a Citizenship Ceremony at Bolton Town Hall. The recipients all swore an oath of allegiance to His Majesty the King.

On the 9th of November, I had the honour of placing the first wreath at Standish Cenotaph on behalf of His Majesty the King. This was followed by a Remembrance Service in St Wilfred’s Parish Church in Standish.

On the 11th of November, I attended the Armistice Service at Victoria Square in Bolton. A well-attended and moving service.

On 11th November, I attended an Attestation Service at Sedgley Park GMP training centre. Over 60 cadets embarked on their training programme to become Police Officers.
