If you’re a Track and Field coach in New Jersey, you should always try to bring a 4x100 or 4x400 to Penn Relays. This meet truly allows athletes to see what our sport is all about.

Watching a National Championship for Track and Field, no matter what division, Live Results should be able to be updated within minutes after the completion of an attempt in the field events. Not take 1 hour after the event finishes. You would never see this in other sports.

I’m happy to be able to finally watch more track and field championships on tv. I do feel that if we want our sport to keep growing, we need to cut down the time between events during broadcasting. There can be too much downtime and waiting for the next race.

Indoor Track is just around the corner! Make sure you look into getting the correct spike for your desired event, especially in the jumps and throws. I see many athletes hurt themselves because they are wearing the incorrect spikes.

These meet directors filling up their meets to the absolute max, where they don’t have finals in field events and some sprinting events, really puts a damper on our sport and doesn’t give justice to the athlete.

Development of a youth athlete in Track and Field isn’t about how fast they are, how far or high they jump, but how their technical foundation is developed.

PSA: Coaches and athletes, make sure to check your sand pits after a long cold winter. Shovel and rake your pits before jumping in them so there are no foolish injuries.

This Long Jump rule created by whatever world athletics committee, where if an athlete foot is over the foul line plain “without ever touching the foul line” making it a foul, is absolutely ridiculous. You have cameras for a reason and can see the foot isn’t touching the board.
