Sometimes in life the simplest things can bring you so much joy. Saying hello to Bracken this morning we disturbed a skylark. I then spotted by chance this beautiful nest amongst the grass. Not a very clear pic as I wanted to be quick. But 4 beautiful eggs nestled together 🤎🤎

Heavy rain this afternoon on the the rounds being picked up by the camera lens. The sheep didn't seem to mind. Bracken had an additional lamb with her. Hers just behind her, the little one soon realised it wasn't mum and headed off to find her 💦

Lovely to see this ewe & her lambs thriving. Born nearly 2 wks ago very small. The boy was much stronger than his sister so I've been topping her up with milk. Had there first night out in the paddock by the farmhouse. Keeping watch until they're strong enough to join the flock🧡

In just 4 weeks we've lambed our small flock. There have as always been highs & lows. At lunchtime today the last ewe to lamb gave birth to a set of twins one boy & one girl. They are quite small but doing well, so just keeping a close eye on them and topping up when rqd 🧡 #lambs

Welcoming Pippin to the pet pen. Found him cold & left behind by his mum over the wkend. She has another to take care of which is good. He had milk on Sat but on Sunday couldn't get him to drink until the last feed of the day. He is now thriving, & making friends, lovely to see🧡

Out into the big wide world for this little one, lots more exploring & things to learn. Mums had a pedicure, wormer and some corn off to enjoy some lush grass and sunshine...

As we head into our fourth week of lambing we only have 2 ewes left to lamb. This ewe had twins yesterday a beautiful girl & the teeniest tiny boy I've ever seen. Unfortunately despite our efforts he didn't make it. Mum & daughter doing well & will head out into the fields soon
