On a canal feeder by the side of a busy road I spotted this moorhen sitting on their amazing nest shrouded by the ivy today. Such a beautiful home and one of those heart stopping moments. Isn't nature wonderful. I wonder how many people had actually walked past and not noticed?❤

Tufty with a one-sided tuft yesterday. She always looks so hopeful yet inquisitive. It was a beautiful day yesterday. The call of the curlew being carried on the wind, then two spotted overhead. Also, a buzzard and red kite soaring gently above me sometimes clashing for territory

Our handsome Pippin with his crooked horns. As a little one last year making friends with Daisy and Smokey in the pens.We found him cold and weak, separated from mum, so decided to look after him ourselves. He struggled the first 24 hours but luckily started to thrive #herdwick

Bitterly cold wind today. Threatening darkening skies as grey as Bramble. Signs of spring are slowly returning to the farm, sightings of curlew with their beautiful call. Skylarks high in the sky, singing their hearts out. Early spring flowers and leafs beginning to bud.. #nature

Just over 6 months ago, our son had his horrific accident. He was signed off from the hospital today. The mental and physical scars will take time to heal, but this is him climbing a few weeks ago. Miracles do happen. Thank you everyone that have supported us with your kind words

The past week has been lovely in the more sheltered areas. Don't be fooled by the gorgeous blue skies, though. The wind has been relentless and, at times, icy cold. Hetty thankful for her wonderful, thick fleece, but she sure does look like she's had enough! 💙🩵

It's very strange not to be lambing this year, but we had to make a decision that was going to be right for us at the time. This is one of my fav photos from lambing last year. She had found a lovely sheltered spot, and I watched quietly, capturing a beautiful moment between them

Seek and you shall find. I love spotting the wonderful signs of spring appearing on the farm. Violets, May flower, Primroses, Marsh Marigolds, and the unfurling of the tree buds, Hawthorn, Horse Chestnut and Willow... #nature #wildflowers #spring

Lovely to see a tangled 'knot' of tadpoles in our small pond in the top field. A mass of wringling little bodies #tadpoles #nature #wildlife

Herdy Bear living her best life. Relaxing in the sunshine, a gentle breeze, the skylarks singing high above her with a field of fresh grass, and not a care in the world. #herdwicks #sheep #peakdistrict #lazydays
