Had a lovely afternoon down at Highcliffe with the family; playing in the surf and digging sand castles.

Not been to the beach there before, very nice spot! Very relaxed and family friendly.

Very surprised today by the felling of 26 trees at Highcliffe St Mark’s school.
The evergreens had been a feature for decades. They'd provided a privacy screen & sunshade for kids using the roadside playground, & a good carbon screen from cars.
The felling seems needless.
