It's autumn and the fungi are appearing. These are shaggy parasols.

A nice crop of puffballs spotted this morning.

The Trooping Funnel fungus does what its name implies and troops around in lines and circles.

The liquid amber tree is turning a glorious shade of red !

The park was looking very atmospheric this morning with a low bank of mist in the sunshine

The field nearest the railway line is fenced off for safety reasons. There is one fence panel open near Avenue Rd but if you go through there is no way out the other end. There is limited car parking at the moment.

The Friends of Highbury Park would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year. Looking forward to another year of ever changing nature in the park.

The first snowdrops of winter.

Despite the chilly weather a little splash of colour - is spring on its way 🤔

If you're looking for a little winter colour we have green, pink and purple catkins. The green ones are Hazel and the other two are Alder.
