A big welcome to Hildur Hjörvar who has joined ESA as a Legal Adviser. Hildur joins us from the European Court of Human Rights where she was a Senior Lawyer. Previously, Hildur served as a Deputy to the Permanent Representative of Iceland to the Council of Europe.

It was great to meet the ECHR CEDH President Síofra O’Leary, the first woman in that position. Thank you for our discussions on the importance of human rights and the rule of law in addressing the geopolitical challenges of today’s Europe.
