Yusuf Şerefname For the Kurmanj like my family it wasnt until 20th century that 'Kurd' entered our vocabulary. We didn't call ourselves and our language 'Kurd,' but Kurmanj. I have noticed Kurds of Bakur still tend to mostly use this word too.
