Just played one of the most intense, competitive games of my career at USA Softball of the Carolinas. The sportsmanship between both teams was impeccable. We turned the first day of our USA Softball of The Carolinas USA Softball Heroes League tournament into our National Fastpitch Coaches Association #StrikeOutCancer day. This year, nine teams participated, raising awareness and funds for Duke Cancer and Kay Yow Cancer Fund. Together, we are 🇺🇸🥎💪!

Sportsmanship isn't mentioned as often as it should be. We want to be good players on the field, but more importantly, good people in our community, and it starts with good sportsmanship.

Regrettably, all Heroes tournament games at Springwood Park scheduled for today have been postponed. We'll try again tomorrow.

Poetically, the end-of-season tournament goes much the way the regular season existed... canceled due to rain. Stay safe everyone!
