A good morning read. Particularly enjoyed the phrase "his squishy oeuvre"... . . . Mark Kermode on… David Cronenberg, master of gore as a metaphor for our deepest anxieties theguardian.com/film/article/2…

Starting on the To Watch list I scribbled down during the #horrornu conference this week. First up is 'Mother, May I?' mentioned in Amy Easton's paper. So far, it is unsettling, + as a therapist I cannot co-sign the girlfriend's insistent approach to processing trauma 🀣

Seven years ago, Part 8 of "TWIN PEAKS: THE RETURN" was premiered. "Gotta Light?" was considered an unprecedented audiovisual masterpiece and one of the best creations in Mark Frost and David Lynch careers. The most provocative piece of art in the history of television.

All emerging writers schemes should include writers over 40 – writers can emerge at any age, and women writers especially are frequently prevented from taking up writing until later in life (as we well know)! theguardian.com/stage/article/…

Currently rewatching A Nightmare on Elm Street series. Dream Warriors has always been my fave (though I'm *obsessed* with Ronee Blakley as Nancy's mum in the first)... Most fun soundtrack has to be 4: The Dream Master?
